How does Stoperan work?
Inhibition of
intestinal peristalsis
Stoperan slows down intestinal movements3.
Fewer
trips

By slowing down gut movements and increasing water absorption, digestive contents move more slowly, which leads to fewer bowel movements4.

Rapid
effect
Stoperan increases water absorption from the colon, which changes the consistency of the stool to less watery.
Rapid
effect
The therapeutic effect of loperamide begins 1-3 hours after ingestion2.
