How does Stoperan FAST?
Inhibition of

Directions and product information
For adults and children over 6 years of age going on holiday.
Acute diarrhea
- 1 tablet (2 mg) after each loose stool.
- Do not exceed 3 doses (6 mg) in any 24-hour period.
Chronic diarrhea
- 1 tablet (2 mg) after each loose stool.
- Do not exceed 2 doses (4 mg) in any 24-hour period.
Acute diarrhea
- The initial dose is 2 tablets (4 mg) for adults or 1 tablet (2 mg) for children, then 1 tablet (2 mg) after each loose stool.
- The maximum daily dose is 8 tablets (16 mg) per day for adults.
In children, the dose should be adjusted according to body weight (3 tablets/18 kg b.w.), remembering that the total daily dose must not exceed 3 tablets.
Chronic diarrhea
- The initial dose is 2 tablets (4 mg) per day for adults and 1 tablet (2 mg) per day for children.
- The daily dose should be modified until 1 to 2 normal stools per day are achieved, which is usually obtained by using a maintenance dose of 1 to 6 tablets (2 mg to 12 mg) per day
- The maximum dose is 8 tablets (16 mg) per day for adults. In children, the dose should be adjusted according to body weight (3 tablets/20 kg b.w.), remembering that the total daily dose must not exceed 8 tablets.
- Hypersensitivity to the main ingredient or any of the excipients listed in section 6.1.
- Children under 6 years of age
- Stoperan FAST should not be used as a primary treatment:
- in patients with acute dysentery, characterised by the presence of blood in the stool and high fever;
- in patients with acute episode of ulcerative colitis;
- in patients with bacterial inflammation of the small intestine and colon caused by pathogenic bacteria of the genus Salmonella, Shigella and Campylobacter;
- in patients with pseudomembranous enterocolitis associated with the administration of broad-spectrum antibiotics.
- In cases where slowing of intestinal peristalsis should be avoided, for example due to intestinal obstruction, acute colonic distension (megacolon) and toxic colonic distension (megacolon toxicum) or in cases of certain types of poisoning.
- Treatment with Stoperan Fast should be discontinued immediately if constipation, abdominal distension or intestinal obstruction occurs.
